Welcome Week events, Tisch orientation programs, departmental meetings, advisement and other activities for new students.
Tisch Orientation 2013 is designed to offer you a range of activities and events throughout the week of August 25th - August 30th that will provide you with a comprehensive introduction to NYU, Tisch, New York City and your specific department.
Tisch Orientation kicks off with the Tisch Underground Party on the evening of Sunday, August 25th. This event is open to Tisch freshman and transfer students only. All new students will be able to move into their residence halls on this day. Move in will begin at 7:00 A.M and go until 7:00 P.M. The University will be in touch with students regarding specific move in procedures.
New students should also mark their calendars for the Dean's Welcome on Thursday, August 29th, at the Skirball Center for the Performing Arts, 566 LaGuardia Place near Washington Square Park. All new freshman, transfer and graduate students are gathered under one roof for a unique celebration of the incoming class hosted by Dean Mary Schmidt Campbell.
Online registration for Tisch Orientation programs begins in early August. An e-mail will be sent in early August to your NYU e-mail address from the Student Resource Center with instructions on how to register for Tisch Orientation Week events.
